TO REGISTER YOUR CHILD FOR FOOTBALL, THEY MUST BE ENTERING GRADES 2ND-8TH IN THE FALL of 2017.
Practice: starts for both football and cheer the first week of August, field to be determined. Practice is held from 5:30 – 7:30 Monday through Thursday for the month of August. Once school starts our practice moves to the lower field at Milton High, Tuesday and Thursday evening. Football will have a walk through on Saturday morning, location to be determined.
First week of practice, players will practice in shorts, t-shirt and cleats (no more than 1/2 inch cleats). The first week of August is conditioning, all players must complete at least 10 hours prior to receiving equipment. Equipment distribution will happen after the first week of conditioning.
Games: There is one game a week on either Saturday or Sunday. The first game will be on Labor Day weekend. Away games tend to be earlier in the day (unless it is a Saturday game). The game schedule will be posted late July.
Paperwork will be collected by a designated member of each team prior to the start of practice. A player will not be permitted to play or practice without proper paperwork submitted.
American Youth Football (AYF) requires that each player is certified. Below is a list of the required documents for each player to be certified. Thank you for your effort and cooperation with the collection of these documents.
In addition to the AYF forms your child will need to submit Medical Clearance from doctor stating that they are cleared to play sports, this must be dated from January 1, 2017 to present, no exceptions. Also required is the final 2016-2017 Report Card, the child’s name, date and school year must be clear.
The AYF forms and team paperwork contacts will be available later in the Spring.
